# Whisperloop vs Transcend

The clearest difference is rating: Transcend at 5.0 against Whisperloop's 3.9. Transcend also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Whisperloop's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whisperloop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Transcend sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Transcend holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whisperloop has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Whisperloop ships an update every 5 days, Transcend every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
