# Para vs Rotcut

The clearest difference is rating: Rotcut at 5.0 against Para's 3.9. Rotcut also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). Para's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (7 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Para sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.00 per month and Rotcut sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rotcut holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 2 respectively.

Para ships an update fortnightly, Rotcut every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
