# Subpilot vs GhostCatch

The clearest difference is monetization model: GhostCatch at freemium against Subpilot's subscription. GhostCatch also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (100% vs 81%). Subpilot's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (5K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Subpilot sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and GhostCatch sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GhostCatch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Subpilot has 5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of Subpilot's written reviews are positive against 100% of GhostCatch's.

Subpilot ships an update every 4 days, GhostCatch monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
