# Rain Tracker vs Rain Gauge Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Rain Gauge Pro at 4.2 against Rain Tracker's 3.0. Rain Gauge Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (79 vs 5). Rain Tracker's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 25%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rain Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Rain Gauge Pro sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rain Gauge Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rain Gauge Pro has 79 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Rain Tracker's written reviews are positive against 25% of Rain Gauge Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
