# Varedelo vs HexStep

The clearest difference is rating: Varedelo at 5.0 against HexStep's 4.0. HexStep's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Varedelo sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and HexStep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Varedelo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 2 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Varedelo ships an update every 6 days, HexStep every 4 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
