# Secure VPN vs VPNET

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VPNET at none against Secure VPN's 2. VPNET also leads on ads (none vs shown). Secure VPN's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (162 vs 18). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. VPNET asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Secure VPN against 4.1 for VPNET. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure VPN has 162 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 30% of Secure VPN's written reviews are positive against 19% of VPNET's.

Secure VPN ships an update every 2 days, VPNET fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
