# Secure VPN vs Aurora VPN

Secure VPN and Aurora VPN both sit at 4.1 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Aurora VPN's written reviews are positive against 29% of Secure VPN's. Aurora VPN also leads on ads (none vs shown). Secure VPN's advantage is ratings volume (165 vs 3). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Aurora VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Secure VPN against 4.0 for Aurora VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure VPN has 165 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
