# Live TV vs Pro IPTV Player

The clearest difference is rating: Live TV at 5.0 against Pro IPTV Player's 4.4. Live TV also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Pro IPTV Player's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live TV sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Pro IPTV Player asks for nothing beyond the download.

Live TV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro IPTV Player has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Live TV ships an update every 3 months, Pro IPTV Player every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
