# Summit vs Ember

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ember at every 2 days against Summit's every 8 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Summit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Ember sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Summit ships an update every 8 days, Ember every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
