# The Loop vs KeenVPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: KeenVPN at every 3 days against The Loop's every 3 weeks. KeenVPN also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Loop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and KeenVPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for The Loop against 5.0 for KeenVPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KeenVPN has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The Loop ships an update every 3 weeks, KeenVPN every 3 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
