# RecordMark vs Tempus

The clearest difference is review sentiment: RecordMark at 100% against Tempus's 76%. Tempus's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RecordMark sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and Tempus sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tempus holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tempus has 61 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of RecordMark's written reviews are positive against 76% of Tempus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RecordMark ships an update every 2 weeks, Tempus every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
