# Tempus vs Sharper

The clearest difference is ads: Tempus at none against Sharper's shown. Tempus also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (61 vs 10). Sharper's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 76%). On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tempus sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Sharper sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sharper holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tempus has 61 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of Tempus's written reviews are positive against 100% of Sharper's.

Tempus ships an update every 6 days, Sharper every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
