# Tempus vs Basis

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Basis at none against Tempus's 9. Basis also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.2). Tempus's advantage is ratings volume (61 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tempus sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Basis asks for nothing beyond the download.

Basis holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tempus has 61 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
