# Idea Note vs VisualGPT

The clearest difference is rating: VisualGPT at 4.2 against Idea Note's 2.0. VisualGPT also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Idea Note sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and VisualGPT sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VisualGPT holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VisualGPT has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Idea Note ships an update every 4 months, VisualGPT every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
