# Idea Note vs FileForge

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Idea Note at 15.0 against FileForge's 26.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Idea Note sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and FileForge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
