# Synapse vs Flowcard

The clearest difference is ads: Synapse at none against Flowcard's shown. Synapse also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18). Flowcard's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 73%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Synapse sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Flowcard sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $16.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Synapse holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Synapse's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flowcard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Synapse ships an update every 2 weeks, Flowcard every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
