# GeoReminder vs Shared Reminders

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shared Reminders at every 3 weeks against GeoReminder's every 6 weeks. GeoReminder's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GeoReminder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Shared Reminders sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GeoReminder ships an update every 6 weeks, Shared Reminders every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
