# StarNote vs IBlock

The clearest difference is ads: StarNote at none against IBlock's shown. StarNote also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StarNote sells 21 one-off in-app purchases and IBlock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StarNote ships an update every 2 weeks, IBlock fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
