# FlexBoard vs AlterEgo

The clearest difference is update cadence: FlexBoard at every 5 days against AlterEgo's every 6 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlexBoard sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per year and AlterEgo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FlexBoard ships an update every 5 days, AlterEgo every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
