# Auto vs ScriptySync

The clearest difference is rating: ScriptySync at 5.0 against Auto's 4.2. ScriptySync also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). Auto's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Auto sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. ScriptySync asks for nothing beyond the download.

ScriptySync holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Auto has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Auto ships an update every 2 weeks, ScriptySync every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
