XPKids turns everyday learning into an adventure for kids ages 5–10. Kids watch funny cartoons with the Professors, answer questions read aloud in real voices, and take learning off the screen with real-world quests — earning XP, stickers and island pieces only by learning, never by buying. NEW: PROFESSORS TV Short, laugh-out-loud episodes where the nine Professors learn real life: beach safety with Lifeguard Heart, a grocery run (make a list, read the label, eat the rainbow), a museum field trip, dance class, Halloween jokes, breakfast riddles, tongue twisters and new languages. Every episode is under a minute and ends with a quick quiz that counts toward your child's learning. TEN LEARNING WORLDS Math, reading and words, world languages, feelings and friendship, nature, life skills, creativity, the world around us, health, and technology — each with three difficulty levels and practice that adapts to your child. WHAT'S INSIDE • Professors TV: short episodes, each followed by a read-aloud quiz • Questions, stories and fun facts read aloud in real voices, with native speakers for words in other languages • A buddy that grows with your child and cheers them on • A sticker book with a sticker for every skill your child masters • My Island: build your own island, one new piece for every few skills mastered • Story chapters with the Professors that unlock as your child learns • A daily plan, weekend events and a weekly "look how you grew" moment • Real-world quests that get kids moving and exploring off the screen • Read to the Professor: optional reading practice, turned on by a parent (speech is processed on the device, never recorded) FOR PARENTS • Parent area protected by a parental gate • Progress by world and by skill, without percentages shown to kids • Create quests for your child and approve them when they're done • Optional Family Sync across your family's devices, with parent consent • Screen-time controls, and a switch to turn Professors TV on or off • Delete your account and your family's data at any time in Parent Settings BUILT FOR KIDS • No ads, no third-party analytics and no tracking • Children never create accounts and cannot chat with anyone • Episodes play inside the app: no links out, no ads, no autoplaying feed • AI is used only in parent features. Any AI-drafted practice content is reviewed by a person before children see it • Core learning works offline FAMILY PREMIUM (OPTIONAL) All lessons, learning worlds, stories and quizzes are free. Family Premium unlocks every Professors TV episode (the first episode is free for everyone) and unlimited parent features: Daily One activity ideas, the Parent Coach chat and weekly reports. Without Premium, parents can use 3 Daily Ones per week, 10 Coach messages per month and 1 weekly report per week. Children never see prices: a locked episode asks them to get a grown-up, and purchases happen behind the parental gate. ——— Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://xpkids.app/privacy XPKids Family Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription (US$2.99/month). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in Account Settings. All lessons, learning worlds, stories and quizzes are free; Premium unlocks the Professors TV episodes beyond the free one and extra parent features.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: XPKids at 5.0 against Math Prodigy's 4.3. XPKids also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). Math Prodigy's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
