# Trott vs Clipfile

The clearest difference is update cadence: Clipfile at every 6 days against Trott's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trott sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Clipfile sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trott ships an update every 3 weeks, Clipfile every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
