# Speakwise vs Nōtare

The clearest difference is rating: Nōtare at 5.0 against Speakwise's 4.5. Speakwise's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (86 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speakwise sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days and Nōtare sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nōtare holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speakwise has 86 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Speakwise ships an update every 9 days, Nōtare every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
