# Speakwise vs ReAlarmed

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ReAlarmed at 100% against Speakwise's 53%. ReAlarmed also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). Speakwise's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (89 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speakwise sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days and ReAlarmed sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speakwise holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speakwise has 89 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Speakwise's written reviews are positive against 100% of ReAlarmed's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speakwise ships an update every 9 days, ReAlarmed every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
