# Roll Time vs Nomadic Grappling

The clearest difference is monetization model: Roll Time at free against Nomadic Grappling's free with in-app purchases. Roll Time also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks) and ratings volume (28 vs 3). Nomadic Grappling's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roll Time sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Nomadic Grappling sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Roll Time against 5.0 for Nomadic Grappling. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Roll Time has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Roll Time ships an update weekly, Nomadic Grappling every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
