Learn German from A1 to B1 with visual vocabulary, targeted grammar practice, and reference tools built for serious learners. One Who Learns combines the structure of a good textbook with modern learning experience. It's designed for people who want to understand German, prepare for B1, and make measurable progress without gamification getting in the way. I built OWL after moving to Germany and trying the usual flashcard apps, language courses, textbooks, and tutors. I wanted one place that could take me from learning a word to understanding the grammar behind it and using it confidently. VISUAL FLASHCARDS Remember German words through vivid visual scenes. Nouns are color-coded by gender: der, die, das. Cards also include pronunciation, examples, and key verb forms. A1–B1 COURSE Follow a structured curriculum across A1, A2, and B1, with 30 units, 150 sections, and more than 1,000 exercises covering reading, listening, writing, grammar, conjugation, and more. GRAMMAR DRILLS Practice articles, cases, pronouns, verb conjugation, and other difficult areas. OWL tracks your mistakes so you can focus on the patterns you haven't mastered yet. REFERENCE TABLES Quickly look up irregular verbs, pronouns by case, article declensions, adjective endings, modal verbs, prepositions, and other essential German grammar. PERSONAL STUDY PLAN Build a path toward B1 around your pace and target date. See your milestones, current level, and what to work on next. BUILT FOR SERIOUS LEARNERS No leagues, cartoon mascots, or endless point collecting. OWL focuses on structured learning, practice, and understanding. It's especially useful for people living in Germany, preparing for a Goethe or other CEFR exam, working toward citizenship, or simply learning German seriously. FREE & PREMIUM A1 is free to use with no credit card required. Premium unlocks the complete A2 and B1 vocabulary and curriculum, additional drills, connection with your personal AI assistant and advanced learning tools.
