# Appvia VPN vs NetDiag

The clearest difference is ads: Appvia VPN at none against NetDiag's shown. Appvia VPN also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). NetDiag's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Appvia VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and NetDiag sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Appvia VPN ships an update every 3 weeks, NetDiag every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
