# Looma vs Clipto

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Looma at 67% against Clipto's 36%. Clipto's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.7) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Looma sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Clipto sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Clipto holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clipto has 55 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Looma's written reviews are positive against 36% of Clipto's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Looma ships an update every 3 weeks, Clipto every 8 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
