# TipIsServed vs TipJoy

The clearest difference is rating: TipJoy at 5.0 against TipIsServed's 4.5. TipJoy also leads on ratings volume (64 vs 2). TipIsServed's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TipIsServed sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and TipJoy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TipJoy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TipJoy has 64 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

TipIsServed ships an update every 9 days, TipJoy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
