# Bean Book vs BrewGi

The clearest difference is ads: Bean Book at none against BrewGi's shown. BrewGi's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bean Book sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and BrewGi sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bean Book ships an update fortnightly, BrewGi every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
