# Pedometer vs Step Mission

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pedometer at every 5 days against Step Mission's every 2 weeks. Pedometer also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pedometer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Step Mission sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pedometer ships an update every 5 days, Step Mission every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
