# Mega Block vs Block Stack

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mega Block at every 4 days against Block Stack's every 10 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mega Block sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Block Stack sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mega Block ships an update every 4 days, Block Stack every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
