# MindBack vs Refly

The clearest difference is rating: MindBack at 4.5 against Refly's 4.0. MindBack also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ratings volume (15 vs 1). Refly's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 66%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Refly sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. MindBack asks for nothing beyond the download.

MindBack holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MindBack has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of MindBack's written reviews are positive against 100% of Refly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MindBack ships an update weekly, Refly every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
