# DLSurf vs Jotted

The clearest difference is rating: Jotted at 3.1 against DLSurf's 1.0. Jotted also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (18 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DLSurf sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Jotted sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jotted holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jotted has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 0% of DLSurf's written reviews are positive against 14% of Jotted's.

DLSurf ships an update every 2 weeks, Jotted every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
