# BlindBook vs The Retrieve

The clearest difference is update cadence: BlindBook at every 4 days against The Retrieve's every 5 weeks. BlindBook also leads on ratings volume (29 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlindBook sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and The Retrieve sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for BlindBook against 5.0 for The Retrieve. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlindBook has 29 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BlindBook ships an update every 4 days, The Retrieve every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
