# FINESSE vs Dance Studio Syllabus

The clearest difference is monetization model: FINESSE at free with in-app purchases against Dance Studio Syllabus's subscription. FINESSE also leads on ratings volume (103 vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Dance Studio Syllabus's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FINESSE sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Dance Studio Syllabus sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $39.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for FINESSE against 5.0 for Dance Studio Syllabus. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FINESSE has 103 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of FINESSE's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dance Studio Syllabus's.

FINESSE ships an update weekly, Dance Studio Syllabus every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
