# Soonish App vs Event Countdown

The clearest difference is ads: Soonish App at none against Event Countdown's shown. Soonish App also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Event Countdown's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Soonish App sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Event Countdown sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Soonish App against 5.0 for Event Countdown. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively.

Soonish App ships an update every 6 months, Event Countdown every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
