# FluPlayer vs Flare

The clearest difference is rating: Flare at 3.7 against FluPlayer's 2.9. Flare also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). FluPlayer's advantage is ratings volume (98 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FluPlayer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Flare sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flare holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FluPlayer has 98 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 0% and 0% positive.

FluPlayer ships an update every 9 days, Flare weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
