# Orbits vs PlanDay

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PlanDay at none against Orbits's 3. Orbits's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Orbits sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. PlanDay asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Orbits against 5.0 for PlanDay. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Orbits has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Orbits ships an update every 5 days, PlanDay every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
