# Minimal Expense Tracker vs ex/only

The clearest difference is device support: Minimal Expense Tracker at 3 against ex/only's 1. Minimal Expense Tracker also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Minimal Expense Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ex/only sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
