# COET vs Driftnote

The clearest difference is update cadence: Driftnote at weekly against COET's every 4 months. COET's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. COET sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Driftnote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

COET ships an update every 4 months, Driftnote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
