# Peek Message vs Notestream

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Peek Message at 81% against Notestream's 0%. Peek Message also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (239 vs 4). Notestream's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Peek Message sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Notestream asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notestream holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Peek Message has 239 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Peek Message's written reviews are positive against 0% of Notestream's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Peek Message ships an update every 3 days, Notestream every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
