# AimPoint Golf vs PuttView

The clearest difference is rating: AimPoint Golf at 4.5 against PuttView's 3.7. AimPoint Golf also leads on iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). PuttView's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AimPoint Golf sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $249.99 per year and PuttView sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AimPoint Golf holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of AimPoint Golf's written reviews are positive against 81% of PuttView's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AimPoint Golf ships an update every 3 months, PuttView every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
