# Seed Controller vs Tare

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tare at freemium against Seed Controller's subscription. Tare also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). Seed Controller's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Seed Controller sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Tare sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
