# Task Chain vs AI Reader

The clearest difference is rating: AI Reader at 4.7 against Task Chain's 2.3. AI Reader also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (200 vs 3). Task Chain's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AI Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Reader has 200 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Task Chain ships an update every 2 months, AI Reader every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
