# Daimon vs SpeechMaxx

The clearest difference is ads: SpeechMaxx at none against Daimon's shown. Daimon's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daimon sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and SpeechMaxx sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Daimon against 5.0 for SpeechMaxx. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daimon has 81K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 92% of Daimon's written reviews are positive against 100% of SpeechMaxx's.

Daimon ships an update every 9 days, SpeechMaxx every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
