# Scratch AI vs GolfBetter

Scratch AI and GolfBetter both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of GolfBetter's written reviews are positive against 61% of Scratch AI's. GolfBetter also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17). Scratch AI's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 7). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scratch AI sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and GolfBetter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GolfBetter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scratch AI has 1.8K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Scratch AI's written reviews are positive against 100% of GolfBetter's.

Scratch AI ships an update every 10 days, GolfBetter weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
