# Notes vs PlanClaw

The clearest difference is rating: PlanClaw at 4.2 against Notes's 3.0. PlanClaw also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and PlanClaw sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PlanClaw holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Notes's written reviews are positive against 97% of PlanClaw's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notes ships an update every 2 weeks, PlanClaw every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
