# Crunchyroll vs StreakForge

The clearest difference is rating: StreakForge at 5.0 against Crunchyroll's 4.0. StreakForge also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 58%) and update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly). Crunchyroll's advantage is ratings volume (45 vs 6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crunchyroll sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $13.99 per month and StreakForge sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StreakForge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Crunchyroll has 45 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Crunchyroll's written reviews are positive against 100% of StreakForge's.

Crunchyroll ships an update monthly, StreakForge every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
