# Art Reference vs Proref

The clearest difference is update cadence: Proref at every 6 days against Art Reference's every 2 weeks. Proref also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Art Reference sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Proref sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Art Reference ships an update every 2 weeks, Proref every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
